My work expands with movement and fluidity, and how these two interact with one another. Choosing to fire my work in a wood kiln sets each pice up for a surface that is unpredictable. This process allows the piece to express its self within the elements of the fire. The failure is only obtainable when you are pushing new direction, allowing your self to be free with so called expectations.
Perry Haas was born and raised in Geneva, IL. He got his education from Wabonsee Community College and Utah State University. Haas’s work continues to evolve and has been seen in numerous collections. He has spent most of his career exploring the streams and mountains of Montana. Currently he is working in Helena Montana with his wife and dog.
